Understanding – Do not stop there.

There is a distinction between knowledge and intelligence. Knowledge comes from what we have learned based on books and beliefs. It comes from the known.  Intelligence comes from the unknown.

Understanding something is of knowledge, from belief. Many people think that once they understand something, like transformation, that they are then transformed. Yet, this understanding of it is actually the thing that stops them from getting to the point of transformation. The understanding stops it because then you think you know it, you and stop there.

You start out and get to the edge of the cliff and you stop, looking down and seeing the bottom and thinking you now know it. Then it gets worse. You start repeating it and believing it and you keep reinforcing the belief until it is rock solid, there is no more openness for discovery. Understanding is a function of how smart you are, and it is your detriment.

A new consciousness would move us out of understanding and knowledge, and into intelligence. Without this new consciousness, everything will continue to be the same as it has always been. A new consciousness is the only thing that will shift us out of where we are. We cannot build a new consciousness from the old. It has to be completely new, never having been before. If we attempt to create something from what has been it will always have the same flaws.

If we build from the old, then it takes all the problems that were before and adds to them. It is like the female who puts on a brand new dress, but under the dress is the same body as before. We cannot fix what we already have from the place we have already been. We are always moving backwards while thinking we are moving forward.

The one distinction here is in technology. Technology is the only place where they find the mistakes and then look for the solution. Technology has grown by fixing its weakest link.

We as human beings just keep making the same mistakes over and over from the weakest link. Our weakest link is our beliefs and our thoughts and history, and that is what we are trying to use to fix the problem. We go to the past to fix it, and instead of seeing that is our failure, we use that as our springboard.

Technology uses it as a springboard as well, but they actually fix it, whereas we use it as a springboard by building on it, believing we are fixing it. We think that if we get a new dress, or a new job, or move to a new city, or get a new partner/spouse that will fix our problem. We cannot fix a problem from within the problem.

About Edward Jones

Edward Jones, in 1979, had an experience of death ending in what he calls self-transformation. In modern terms, it has been suggested that it was a psychological death, "But if your ability to walk, talk, or think ends; and you return to consciousness, you will have had an experience of death. You will ultimately see that a psychological death would be experienced in the same manner as a physical death," he states. Unlike others who have had and speak of a transformation, Edward hand no idea of what happened to him during his four hour death experience. He'd had never delved into mysticism or any kind of Eastern thought, but what he experienced was exactly what millions have searched for forever. Edward calls it ecstasy--living with a new consciousness, one void of violence, stress, fear, and worry--being free. Edward was just a common ordinary business man who came face to face with all his failures in business, in marriage and all this world calls success. In facing that failure without excuse or reason and with truth, he came upon the source of all things. Because he had no previous knowledge of what had happened to him, he realized that he was the source of all that had happened to him. "There is a new consciousness born on the planet and it is available to you now." Edward relates this message in workshops, meetings, business, online forums and to all who come into contact with him. Edward carries this one message in his daily life: "There is no love on the planet, and that is good news because in realizing that, we can dispose of what we have been calling love, which is not love at all, and create the possibility of bringing forth Love, Truth, Intelligence and Creation to our war-laden manner of existing on this earth." Edward's books are not exactly fodder for the mind which is seeking success, money, stature, or security in this insane world. They are for the ones who care for internal peace for themselves and world peace for the planet. Edward died, and like the Phoenix he arose from the ashes of his old life to bring forth something new onto this planet. He discovered that is was a consciousness void of violence. It is our violence bringing us closer to the brink of destruction. Will we transform our lives, or will we self-destruct is the question that we need to ask of ourselves. Edward has devoted the last thirty years of his life bringing reaching out to people who are seriously considering the options before us.
